Holy Mother of God!

I was exploring the magical field that is internet today when I stumbled upon a great nugget of hilarity. A few of you may have heard of this website called eBay, well it turns out that they have a lot of weird stuff. I was searching for grilled cheese sandwiches when I happened to come across the mother of all grilled cheese sandwiches. The Holy Mother to be exact. Have a look.

that's right, that's Mary. When I first laid my eyes on this beautiful piece of cuisine, I fell to my knees and my bowels went slack. I instantly put a bid in for $27,000, but at the last second was passed by a man close to my heart by the name of Kent.

Green Day/The Network

Dear Fans,
Many of you know that around this time last year I won a radio contest to go to a private show of The Network. A band that "was formed by and ancient prophecy to come rid the world of crappy, corporate music." They look and sound a lot like Green Day, not to mention they were signed by Billie Joe's record label, Adeline Records. During this period of time, Green Day took a 5 year "break" from making music. Coincidence, decide for yourself:

P.S. There was quite a bit of smoke in the room from smoke machines.

P.P.S 3 more days till I get to see Green Day again.

TSS RIP

You may know that I love the show "The Screen Savers" on G4Tech TV. It was a live show every day about all things tech. Today, G4 has done something very bad. Kevin Rose wrote:
Television is a crazy business - when you start a new show, you know one day that show will be canceled, and you will be out of work. Some shows last 6 episodes, others last 6 years. That’s just the way it is..

Today many of my friends were let go as the network made changes to revamp for new shows. Unscrewed was canceled, and The Screen Savers is being revamped.

The Screen Savers -
As I’m sure many of you have heard, we lost Alex, Dan, Yoshi, and several behind the scene producers… I know you all have tons of questions, and I don’t know much at this point. I’ve been told there are going to be more darktips, and that the show will still have a tech focus. That’s about it. The new show will continue after the Thanksgiving break. I’ll keep you posted as more develops – it’s time to go drink.

Co-Host Alex Albrecht wrote:
Well I've officially been let go... along with a bunch of other people from TSS and three other shows. Kevin and Sarah are the only ones left on screen and I don't know what they are planning to do with them. The Screen Savers as you know it is GONE! We were rounded up today at 11am and told to be out of the office at 3pm... very smooth... So I wanted to take this time to say, Thank you... thank you to all of you who gave me the chance to enter your living rooms five days a week and try my best to make you smile. You, the fans of TSS, really made me feel like a million bucks. I know it was hard for some of you to see Patrick go, but I really appreciate you all giving me a chance. I just wish I could have more time to get to know you all...

It has been one of the best experiences of my life... Thank you...

Cool

I was browsing internet today and I found this. At first glance you may not find this man cool, but if you look closely, you can see what he's got in his hand. A nice, smooth Barq's Root Beer.

Seeing this picture inspired me to visit barq's website and I discovered something that I could only have dreamed of until now: Barq's Floatz. That's right folks, bottled root beer floats:
Ready for a Sweet Interruption to your day? Try new Barq's Floatz. It's a soft drink that's a twist on two classics - combining the great taste of Barq's Root Beer with the timeless taste of an ice cream float. So pop up the bright red cap off a frosty bottle of Barq's Floatz, and treat yourself today!

Halo 2/ FireFox 1.0

Two things came out today: Halo 2 and FireFox 1.0. I went to EB Games at midnight to hang out with dorks and pick Halo 2 up. Also I suggest that you download FireFox 1.0, it is the best browser out there.

Google

Google has some cool stuff that you may want to check out. First off is the good old gmail. It is googles online email, and it is pretty cool. If anyone wants a gmail account, just send me an email and I will tell you how to get one. Another cool google product is Google Desktop search. This allows you to search for past im coversations, songs, or anything else on your computer. The best thing about it is that it works instantly just like google. Lastly, google just bought up a company which had a product named Keyhole. This an incredible satelite imaging program. I highly recomend you check it out.

TV B-Gone

So the other day i was looking on internet and I stumbled across something that looked like my kind of gadget. It is called the TV B-Gone Universal Remote control. TV B-Gone is "a new universal remote that turns off almost any television. The device, which looks like an automobile remote, has just one button. When activated, it spends over a minute flashing out 209 different codes to turn off televisions, the most popular brands first."

I asked Mitch Altman, President and CEO of Cornfield Electronics Inc., "Why would you bring out this product?" His answer was, "Because a tv that is powered on is like second-hand smoke. Why should you be exposed to tv just because someone else is addicted to it?"

Interesting...

When I get my hands on one of these for $14.95, I will be sure to let you know how it works.
